Connect Canon Their Printer To WiFi

by Suzanne Shanks

Canon Pixma MG3620 is a popular all-in-one inkjet printer. This reasonably priced printer is getting quite a bit of sale these days. Though reviewed with good ratings from Best Buy and Tom’s Guide, this printer has a mediocre rating with mixed reviews that are biased unfavorably from Canon and Amazon websites combined. The most common printer problem is that most users cannot connect their printer to WiFi.

You may have connected to a new or different wireless connection with a new SSID. If this problem occurs, stop all printer functions or wait for it to stop working and if the wireless indicator is flashing, press Stop. Then follow the instructions below depending on your operating system:

Remove the printer (or printers if more than one device was installed). You can do this by accessing
Control panel & gt; & gt; Devices and printers

Start button> & gt; Configuration & gt; & gt; Devices & gt; & gt; Printers and scanners

Reset network settings by going to: Start button & gt; & gt; Configuration & gt; & gt; Red & amp; Internet & gt; & gt; Status & gt; & gt; Network Reset and then click the Reset Now button.

Uninstall the canon mg3600 connect to wifi software by accessing Programs and Features from the Control Panel.

Restart your PC.

Reinstall the printer software following the instructions in the Canon Pixma MG3630 manual regarding installing your all-in-one on your network

Disable your firewall or antivirus software before continuing. This can prevent the driver files from installing.
Go to the menu Apple> & gt; System Preferences & gt; & gt; Printers & amp; Scanners

Hold down the Control key as you click the list on the left and click Reset Printing System. If the printer is still listed, select it and click the minus (-) button to remove it.

Restart your Mac

Reinstall the printer drivers from the Canon website. Make sure you select the correct operating system.

Find the Cups drivers in the Drivers box, and then click the Select button to the right of the file name. Download the file (s).

Select and download all the other items in the Drivers section, including “IJ Scan Utility” and “Canon IJ Network Tool”.

Once all the files have been downloaded, install each file on your Mac in order:

CUPS drivers
ICA drivers
IJ Scan Utility
Canon IJ Network Tool
After the general installation, restart your Mac. You can also re-enable your firewall and/or antivirus software.

Resetting the LAN settings

Do this only if the previous solution does not work and there are no other devices connected to the printer. Once reset, you must uninstall and reinstall the printer software and again from all other wireless devices.

Press and hold the Stop button

Release the Stop button when the alarm indicator blinks 21 times.
Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord. Let it act for at least 10 minutes.

Turn on the printer and press and hold the WiFi button until the power indicator blinks.
Press the Color button.
Press the WiFi button. Wireless settings must be enabled.

If the above procedures still do not work, please contact the nearest Canon customer service for assistance with your problem.
